Gulf Harbour Country Club – the wonderful jewel in the Hauraki Gulf – has played host to 2 New Zealand Opens, was the first resort style course in the Auckland area, and is rated in the top five in the country by most critics. It is also the only course in New Zealand designed by the highly regarded Robert Trent-Jones Jr.

  • Irrigation system designed by Parkland’s design engineers (against an RTJ design spec)
  • Installation commenced January 1996 and was completed 1997

  • Central computer control by the Toro Sitepro System
  • NWLTC satellite system with 21 satellites transmitting

  • 1,100 Toro 700 series sprinklers installed
    • 734 on fairways and tees
    • 765 valve-in-head back-to-back sprinklers on greens

  • 29,100m of pipe, PVC mainlines and MDPE laterals
